“Punti di forza del kolossal fantasy sono molti, a partire dal casting. James Franco è perfetto, e riesce a mantenere un ottimo equilibrio alternando comicità slapstick e serietà, il tutto condito con un forte dose di fascino. Ottime le streghe Mila Kunis e Rachel Weisz, anche se la più convince è la splendia Michelle Williams nei panni di Glinda,la strega saggia e buona. La sua recitazione è appena sopra le righe, gioca molto con la sua parte senza sminuirla e senza banalizzarla, divertendosi ad interpretare l’ingenuità della strega evitando di farla passare per stupida.“
